In 1945, after World war II, Melvin Charles Wentzel opened a kitchen cabinet shop named M.C. Wentzel Custom Kitchens, specializing in scratch-built kitchen cabinets as well as furniture for schools and churches. Retiring in 1984, his son Michael M. Wentzel became successor in the business, and decided to fabricate solid surface countertops made of DuPont Corian, hence the name change to Wentzel Fabrication Inc. Michael built a new larger fabrication shop that quickly became known for its high quality workmanship, and his products have been seen in magazines worldwide! In 2004, Michael's son, M.Christopher Wentzel, became successor in the family business and decided that it was time to augment the quality Corian fabrication with the natural beauty of Granite Certified by Dupont as well as DuPont's easy to maintain and eligant Zodiaq Quartz -- all while maintaining the high quality workmanship that has earned Wentzel Fabrication an excelent reputation for over 60 years!
